Hotel Excellence Awards Sweepstakes Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Sweepstakes is open to men and women at least 18 years of age or older as of May 1, 2008, who are residents of the continental United States and the District of Columbia. Employees of MVP/NY (“sponsor”), its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies and their families/household members are not eligible to enter. Enter by filling out an official entry form, available in IN New York magazine from May 1 through October 31, 2008, or by going to mypny.net and following Hotel Excellence Awards voting directions, or by providing the same information on a 3”x 5” card and sending to MVP/NY, 79 Madison Avenue, 8th Floor, New York, NY 10016, Attn: Hotel Excellence Awards Sweepstakes. Entries may be handwritten or typed. Entries must be received by November 15, 2008. Multiple entries are not permitted. Only one entrant per entry submitted. No more than one entry per envelope. Sponsor shall not be responsible for lost, late, mutilated or misdirected mail. Entries printed by machine, mechanically reproduced, tampered with, illegible or incomplete will not be considered.
The winner will be selected by random drawing from all entries received, on or about February 15, 2009. The drawing will take place under the supervision of the Sponsor. Participants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, whose decision is final. Odds of winning will be determined by the total number of entries received. The winner will be notified by mail no later than February 28, 2009. To obtain the name of the winner, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope after February 28, 2009, to MVP/NY, 79 Madison Avenue, 8th Floor, New York, NY 10016, Attn: Hotel Excellence Awards Sweepstakes.
One grand prize winner will receive a weekend trip to New York City for two (2) people (winner and a guest), which will include overnight accommodations in a luxury hotel in Manhattan for two (2) nights; one dinner for two (2) at a New York City restaurant; and two (2) tickets to a show. Approximate retail value of grand prize is $3500. Some restrictions may apply; winner is responsible for any additional fees, tips and taxes. Expenses not expressly indicated are the responsibility of the winner. Sponsor makes no warranties with regard to the prizes. Prizes are not transferable. No substitutions of the prizes are allowed. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the instance of unavailability. Prizes are not redeemable by winner for cash value. Trip must be completed by December 31, 2009, or entire prize package will be forfeited.
The winner and all traveling companions will be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility, compliance with sweepstakes rules and release of liability prior to ticketing. Failure to execute and return any requested document within fourteen (14) days of postmark, or return of notification or prize as undeliverable may result in forfeiture of prize. An alternate potential winner may be selected at the sole discretion of Sponsor. All reasonable effort will be made to contact the winner.
All entries and requests become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Entry constitutes permission by the entrant to allow MVP/NY to use the entrant’s entry information and winner’s name, likeness, city and state of residence for purposes of trade, publicity, or promotion, for no additional compensation except where prohibited by law. Entrants who wish to remove their information from future promotions must contact the Sponsor in writing at: MVP/NY, 79 Madison Avenue, 8th Floor, New York, NY 10016. All entrants release Sponsor, its affiliates, parent, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees and agents, and all others associated with the development and execution of this sweepstakes from any and all liability from injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from participation in this promotion or acceptance or use of any prize.
